Is Figma really that much better for UI/UX, or is Photoshop still king?
Hey everyone, I’m in the middle of a debate with myself about which software to use for mockup creation. I’ve been using Photoshop for years, but I see a lot of designers switching to Figma or Illustrator. I know each has its strengths, but I’m wondering what you all think. Is Figma really that much better for UI/UX, or is Photoshop still king? And where does Illustrator fit into all of this? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Great question! I’ve worked with all three, and honestly, the best one depends on what kind of mockups you’re making. Photoshop is amazing for photorealistic mockups and heavy image editing, but if you’re working on UI/UX designs, Figma is the way to go. It’s cloud-based, super collaborative, and has a ton of plugins that speed up workflow. Illustrator, on the other hand, is unbeatable for vector-based mockups, like logo presentations or packaging designs.
